Who We Are
Located in Augusta County in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley, LaFa is a gathering place for post-high and 20-something young adults. In September 2004 a group of 20 people came together for the purpose of creating a close-knit community committed to growing in relationship with God and each other.
LaFa continues to grow and attract a range of young adults: high-school grads, college students, post-grads, professionals, and everyone in-between. As a family we acknowledge that our life, purpose, talents and relationships stem from and flow out of an intimate, worshipping communion with God and others.
Every Tuesday night you'll find us gathered together for worship, prayer, teaching...and coffee. Our Tuesday nights alternate weekly between corporate gatherings and small groups. Small groups give opportunity for people to connect on a more intimate level with one another as well as to find ways to share their gifts. Most of our small groups are geared toward worship, prayer and Bible study.
But LaFa is more than just a Tuesday night gathering. We are a family. We live life together outside the confines of our gatherings. Living life together looks like a lot of things for us: serving together in our community, doing work projects, supporting our local churches, hiking, grilling out, playing ultimate Frisbee, catching a movie and dinner, camping out, and just hanging out.
So how do you get involved? It's pretty easy actually... just show up.
Our Vision
- A place where post-high and 20 somethings connect to a community passionate for experiencing the love of Jesus Christ.
- A place where young adults come together to live, learn, pray and worship.
- A place where young adults grow into mature disciples to serve Christ in their community and local church.
